MAMA’S BUOI, GTB Nagar

With so many new cafes and lounges being opened in every part of the city, more than being spoilt for choice you get confused which one to step in. One such hub for cafes is GTB Nagar. We planned on going to a place there but since they had a 45 minutes waiting we decided to head to some other cafe. One of my friends suggested Mama’s Buoi and damn I am glad he did!

“Keep calm and accept that all men will always be their Mama’s buoi.. “

Situated on the 3rd floor this place has ample seating area. The ambience is full of life with a live DJ and an amazing vibe. The interiors are quite quirky and vibrant. They even have a beautiful sitting area on the terrace which one can enjoy in this monsoon season. I have one complaint though that the music was a bit too loud and we had to request them to turn it down a little. But that is it for the negatives, otherwise, the place is perfect to hang out with your friends.

Coming to the most important part, the food, which was absolutely DELICIOUS!! We all being big foodies, ordered quite a number of dishes.

MELTING MOMENTS–  First on our table we had some “Cheesy Moments” 😛 . Melting moments are fried mozzarella sticks served with 3 dips. They were served hot and were amazing.

img_9304-3HONEY CHILLI POTATO  Everyone’s favourite honey chilli potato here were crisp with the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Kudos for this as the quantity was also good!

img_9231-2PERI-PERI CHICKEN TIKKA My love for spicy food knows no bounds and hence I loved this. It was juicy chicken marinated in peri peri sauce and was so delectable.  This was undoubtedly the dish of the day for me!

img_9230-2MURG MALAI TIKKA This was chicken marinated in creamy cheese served with coriander sauce. It was also good but I would recommend the peri-peri Tikka over this.

PASTA– We ordered both the Arrabitta(red-sauce) and Alfredo(white-sauce) pasta. Both were delicious and would definitely be a good choice to order.

img_9306-1FRESH SPRING ROLL I always prefer eating spring rolls from good restaurants as they are not the oil dripping kinds here. They were stuffed with fresh vegetables and were very light. They had a subtle taste to them.

img_9243-2CORNITOS Fancy name for Nachos, they were loaded with cheese and chicken but were a bit soggy and hence amongst such a delicious spread were a little disappointing.

img_9234-2CHICKEN LOLY POP– One of the most popular non-veg appetisers it needs no description! 😛 The chicken was immaculately fried and the dressing was amazing. Make sure you have it while it’s still hot to enjoy it better.

img_9228-2MIX VEG CORIANDER DIM SUMS– As soon as they arrived, they were over in like less than a minute!! Served with chilli and garlic sauce the dim sums were steamed perfectly and were an absolute treat.

img_9229-2DAHI KE KABAB These were kebabs stuffed with hung curd and green peas mash. If you are a vegetarian, you should most definitely try these, they were so soft and flavorful. 😛

For drinks, we had MAMA’S SANGRIA, made with fresh juices and fruits this was very rejuvenating.
