Alwar, Rajasthan

Siliserh Lake

Situated 13kms away from Alwar, is a beautiful place to visit. It is a man-made lake built by Maharaja Vinay Singh in 1845. The breath-taking view makes it a must visit during winters, especially. It is surrounded by the Aravalli Ranges and you can have the whole view by renting a boat, for approximately, INR. 800 per boat. Boating starts at 9:00 am and I would advise you to get there as early as possible, to enjoy the view and the weather.

The museum constitutes of various paintings, war essentials, clothes and other stuff from the 19th century. It costs INR. 10 for Indian Students and INR. 50 for others. Do not forget to take your College ID Cards with you. Only visit this place when you are fond of museums and architecture, otherwise, it’s just a palace that is being used for offices.
